I can't believe that I'm actually beginning my own blog. I have been so inspired and appreciative of Elissa's that I thought I might give this a try.
I wanted to be able to share with my kids and friends our experiences here in the Cascade Division. This seems to be the easiest way to do it. So here goes.....
We are just about unpacked and are getting settled. We love the house--its just the right size for the three of us (Don, myself and Charity the dog). There are some things I would like to do to make it feel more like 'our' home, like painting a couple of rooms but its great as is. I'll take and post some pictures in the next couple of days.
We have felt, from the beginning, that this is where God wants us to be. It has just had that "right" feel and fit. Right now we just want to get past that stage where you are learning everybody's name and position. Which by the way gets harder the older you get, sigh. We are trying to get up to speed on the corps and the division. Its a lot of territory to cover and we will not get to southern Idaho until May. We did get to know the officers a bit at councils which was a time of real blessing. So far everyone seems pleased with us.
Since this is the first blog, I'll keep it short because I want to finish this up and see how it turns out, etc. Plus its after 11 p.m. and I'll turn into a pumpkin if I don't hit the hay soon.
